Wembley Stadium
About the Project
Wembley Stadium is one of the UK’s most recognisable venues, hosting millions of visitors each year across football, music, and major live events. With a capacity of 90,000 and a facade that includes extensive glazing, high-level canopies, and branded signage across the exterior, maintaining the building’s appearance is both a practical and reputational requirement.
All Clean London has held an ongoing contract with Wembley Stadium, providing regular high-level cleaning to ensure the venue presents at its best year-round.
The Challenge
A stadium of Wembley’s scale presents significant access challenges. The height and complexity of the exterior structures – including elevated canopies and large glazed sections – make ground-level cleaning methods insufficient. Work also needs to be carefully scheduled around a packed event calendar, meaning any disruption to the site or its surroundings is simply not an option.
The Solution
All Clean London deployed specialist cherry picker (MEWP) equipment to safely reach and clean the stadium’s high-level windows, canopies, and exterior structures. Cherry pickers allow our teams to work efficiently at height without the need for scaffolding, minimising both cost and site disruption.
All work was planned and scheduled around Wembley’s event programme, with our operatives fully briefed on the site’s operational requirements. Risk assessments and method statements were provided as standard, in line with our health and safety accreditations including CHAS and SafeContractor.
The Result
Wembley Stadium’s exterior is maintained to a consistently high standard throughout the year, ensuring the venue presents professionally for every event. The ongoing contract gives the stadium’s facilities team full confidence in scheduling, compliance documentation, and service quality.
