Canterbury Christ Church University is a major higher education institution with a modern campus featuring extensive glazed facades across its key academic and administrative buildings. As a busy university environment welcoming students, staff, and visitors daily, maintaining clean, well-presented buildings is an important part of the campus experience.
All Clean London provides ongoing window cleaning across the Canterbury Christ Church University estate, keeping the campus looking its best throughout the academic year.
The Challenge
Modern university buildings often feature large curtain wall glazing and architectural details that require specialist access equipment to clean effectively. Working on an active campus means scheduling must be carefully managed to avoid disruption to students and staff, and pedestrian safety around equipment must be maintained at all times.
The Solution
All Clean London deployed a spider lift, a specialist telescopic elevated access platform mounted on a vehicle, to carry out high-level window cleaning across the university’s glazed facades. Spider lifts are particularly suited to campus environments as they can reach significant heights while maintaining a compact footprint, minimising disruption to the surrounding area.
Pedestrian exclusion zones were established as standard practice during all on-site operations, ensuring the safety of students and staff throughout. All work was carried out in line with our full health and safety protocols, with risk assessments and method statements provided ahead of every visit.
The Result
All Clean London continues to maintain window cleaning across Canterbury Christ Church University’s campus, providing a reliable, safety-conscious service that keeps the university’s buildings clean and well-presented year-round.
